Tinkertown Museum

Built over four decades by woodcarver Ross Ward, this sprawling folk-art environment is enclosed by rambling walls made from over 50,000 glass bottles. Inside lies a whimsical maze filled with hand-carved animated western towns, a three-ring circus, vintage coin-operated fortune tellers, and oddities collected over a lifetime.

The move: Drive up the Turquoise Trail, drop quarters into 'Otto the One-Man-Band' to watch the wooden figures dance, and grab green chile cheeseburgers in nearby Cedar Crest afterward.
