Tucked onto UNM's main campus, this university observatory opens its dome to the public on clear Friday nights during spring and fall semesters, providing free access to a 14-inch Celestron Edge HD telescope.

The move: Check the observatory's webpage at 3 PM on a Friday to verify weather clearance, then head over around 8 PM to view Saturn's rings or the Andromeda Galaxy while UNM physics students answer your star questions.
