Hatcher Pass Northern Lights UTV Tour

Instead of riding in a van, you drive your own heated, enclosed UTV (up to five people) following a guide deep into Hatcher Pass to secluded, light-pollution-free pockets to watch for aurora. Check-in is 10:00-10:30 pm and the run goes 11 pm to 2 am, a full 3.5 hours out in the dark mountain country north of Anchorage. If the lights no-show, they offer a discount to rebook.

The move: Take turns steering your own heated UTV up a moonlit mountain pass after 11 pm, then kill the engine in a pitch-black clearing and wait for the sky to start glowing.

📍 Before you go $485 per UTV (seats up to 5); 11 pm-2 am tour with 10-10:30 pm check-in. Anchorage/Wasilla round-trip transport is an extra ~$400; aurora visibility depends on weather.
