Entry No. 22 — the Baltimore file — filed under: history
Fire Museum of Maryland
One of the largest fire museums in America, this massive collection is dedicated entirely to the history of firefighting, housing over 40 pieces of antique apparatus from hand-drawn engines to a 1956 fireboat.
The move: Climb aboard the historic fireboat Thomas D'Alesandro Jr. to spin the spotlight, and check out the working telegraph system that once alerted the city to the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904.
