Ghosts of Bozeman's Past: Sunset Hills Cemetery Walking Tour
The Extreme History Project leads a Sunday-afternoon walk through Bozeman's historic hillside cemetery, where cattle baron Nelson Story and trail-namesake John Bozeman are both buried. Guides tell the documented (and often grim) backstories of the people under the markers rather than serving up cheap jump-scares, all from a bluff with a panoramic view over downtown. It runs Sundays at 4pm starting in early June, so it's a seasonal, ticketed thing you book online, by phone, or by email.
The move: Take the Sunday dusk cemetery tour, then walk down into downtown for a drink while the stories are still rattling around in your head.
📍 Before you go Sundays at 4pm, seasonal (starts early June); buy tickets ahead by calling 406-220-2678 or emailing [email protected]. Meet at the cemetery entrance south of Lindley Park.
