Studio Wheelhouse

A community art studio that rotates an unusually broad slate of hands-on workshops taught by local makers, from letterpress to stained glass to scientific illustration. The four-hour private letterpress class lets you set type and print on a real press, and Letterpress 101 sessions are taught by Stephanie Newman of Quoin Community Print Studio. Open-studio access (Mon-Sat, 2-8pm) lets members drop in to use the equipment between classes.

The move: Take the private letterpress class together and hand-print a stack of cards with type you set yourselves.
