Lowcountry Stargazers — Astronomy in the Park
Every clear Wednesday, a knot of amateur astronomers hauls a small forest of telescopes to a riverside park across from the Marriott and just lets strangers climb the step-ladder to look through the eyepiece — no ticket, no RSVP, just Saturn's rings hanging over the Ashley River.
The move: Show up at sunset, take turns at the eyepieces with whoever's manning them, and let a volunteer talk you through what you're looking at until the club packs up around 9-10pm.
