Located just west of Charlotte inside the Schiele Museum of Natural History, this venue features one of the largest planetariums in the Carolinas, complete with a fully digital 360-degree domed screen.

The move: Book tickets for a Friday evening 'Through the Looking Glass' presentation, where you can watch a stunning dome show and then peer at the cosmos through the museum's large telescope.
