Yoga Studio Satya — Third Thursday Kirtan
Every third Thursday, the Satya Kirtan Band layers didgeridoo and handpan over harmonium and drums for a donation-based bhakti chanting session you won't find in any Colorado Springs tourism brochure.
The move: Show up cross-legged on a mat and let the call-and-response chanting wash over you — the kind of Thursday night that makes you forget the weekend exists.
📍 Before you go 📍 The studio sits on York Rd just off North Academy Boulevard in northeast Colorado Springs, in a quiet Yorkshire-Estates pocket rather than on a flashy retail strip — it shares the building with a massage-therapy school, so look for the Satya suite, not a big storefront. On-site parking is easy. The chanting runs one weeknight evening a month, so confirm the date ahead; doors lock once a session begins, so arrive a few minutes early. No singing or yoga experience is needed — expect floor seating, so bring or borrow a mat and dress comfortably. The North Academy corridor nearby has plenty of casual eats for before or after.
