Dallas Glass Art

Billed as the only female-owned glassblowing studio in DFW, this hot shop runs small private sessions for one to four people working one-on-one with an instructor at the furnace. You gather molten glass, pick your colors, and shape pieces like paperweights, flowers, bubble bowls, or ornaments. The finished work is annealed overnight and ready for pickup about five days later.

The move: Take turns at the glory hole gathering and shaping molten glass into a paperweight or flower you each get to keep.
