Entry No. 81 — the Dallas file — filed under: arcade-play
Tokyo Station DFW
Free Play, Inc. tore out its Arlington location and rebuilt it as a love-letter to the Japanese arcade scene of the early 2000s, stuffing the floor with imported Japanese cabinets, rhythm machines, and pinball all set to unlimited free play. A wall of claw machines holds authentic Japanese prizes, and rows of Gachapon capsule-toy machines line the space. A fusion kitchen and a deep Japanese beverage list round out a room built for wandering and discovery rather than ticking off classics.
The move: Pay one flat admission, then drift through Japanese import cabinets and rhythm games before splitting a few dollars in the Gachapon machines to win each other surprise capsule toys.
📍 Before you go Admission ~$12.89 plus tax for unlimited play; turns 18+ (or 21+ some nights) after 9pm. Summer hours 11a-11p daily, until 2a Fri-Sat.
