Little Bodega
A true NYC-style corner bodega dropped into one of Denver's historic Black neighborhoods: laundry detergent, lotto, an ATM and a newspaper rack up front, a legitimately good sandwich counter in the back. Owner Natasha Butler missed the bodegas she found in New York and built one in a Five Points block long treated as a food desert. Order the Italian Situation or the Dumbo roast beef; the place runs on regulars and feels decades older than it is.
The move: Grab two sandwiches and a couple of weird snacks off the shelves, then walk them five minutes to a bench in the Five Points neighborhood for an easy, no-fuss daytime picnic.
