Hidden beneath downtown Royal Oak, this strictly reservation-only speakeasy requires a secret password texted to you on the day of your visit. To enter, you must slip through a back kitchen door, descend a staircase, and step through what looks like a walk-in freezer.

The move: Whisper the daily password to gain entry, then slide into a plush velvet booth to enjoy a custom-tailored cocktail served in vintage glassware.
