Entry No. 49 — the Fort Collins file — filed under: hands-on
Fort Collins Creator Hub
A nonprofit makerspace that opens its shop and equipment to the public through short intro classes well beyond the usual craft-night fare. Couples can take Learn to Solder, a stained glass workshop, MIG welding and metal fabrication, or laser-cutter and 3D-printing intros and walk out with something they actually built. It is the closest thing in town to a hands-on, slightly nerdy choose-your-own-skill date.
The move: Pick a skill neither of you has tried, like soldering or stained glass, and build a small project together in a real workshop.
📍 Before you go Individual classes are scheduled intermittently (some listed through Fort Collins Recreator) and tend to be tool-specific intros; check the calendar for the project you want rather than expecting daily availability.
