The Punk Rock Museum

A 12,000-square-foot archive of more than 1,000 punk artifacts — handwritten lyrics, stage-worn jackets, Devo helmets, Kurt Cobain memorabilia — co-founded by NOFX's 'Fat Mike' Burkett and The Germs' Pat Smear, with a playable Jam Room stocked with real touring gear from NOFX, Pennywise, and Rise Against.

The move: Take the guided tour (often led by an actual touring punk musician doubling as your docent), then plug into the Jam Room and bang out a three-chord song on gear that's been on a real tour bus — it ends at The Triple Down, the museum's own dive bar.
