Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Wildlife Visitor Center

A free visitor center entirely devoted to one animal: the elk. Inside the conservation group's headquarters you'll find dioramas, trophy mounts, and record-setting antler displays, including world-record bull elk taken by hunters. It's an earnest, single-species shrine that doubles as a quietly strange date stop. Admission is free, with donations welcome.

The move: Wander the elk dioramas and world-record antler displays, then take a loop on the short walking path outside the building.

Where: 5705 Grant Creek Rd, Missoula, MT 59808
