Frenchmen Art Bazaar Night Market

A nighttime open-air art market that sets up in a string-lit lot right on the Frenchmen Street music strip in the Marigny. Local and regional artists sell original paintings, handmade jewelry, prints and crafts straight from their own tables, while brass and jazz spill out of the surrounding clubs as a soundtrack. It opens in the evening and runs until midnight (later on weekend nights).

The move: Wander the lantern-lit stalls after dinner, let each person pick out one piece of art for the other, then duck into a Frenchmen club for a nightcap.
