Green-Wood Cemetery Catacombs (After Hours Tour)
A 478-acre Victorian garden cemetery and National Historic Landmark where roughly 600,000 people are buried beneath rolling hills and Gothic gates. Hidden beneath one hillside are the Catacombs: 30 family vaults behind locked iron gates, an area closed to the public most of the year. After-hours evening tours wind through the grounds at dusk and into the normally-sealed catacomb tunnel.
The move: Take the after-dark walking tour that unlocks the catacombs and stroll the moonlit hilltops past the graves of Boss Tweed and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
📍 Before you go Cemetery grounds are free during the day, but catacomb access requires a paid after-hours tour ticket (~$30) on select Friday/Saturday evenings; book ahead.
