Bayernhof Museum
Perched on a hill overlooking the Allegheny River, this 19,000-square-foot Bavarian-style mansion was built by eccentric entrepreneur Charles Brown III and houses a massive collection of antique music boxes and automatic music machines. The house is famous for its secret passages, hidden doors, and a fully realized 'secret cave' complete with artificial stalactites and waterfalls.
The move: Schedule a guided tour by phone, navigate the spiral staircases, and find the hidden door in the master bedroom that leads to a subterranean cave and a massive indoor swimming pool room.
