Entry No. 40 — the Pueblo file — filed under: speakeasy-bar
The Clink Lounge
From roughly 1940 to 2010, this building processed Pueblo's arrested — now Cell Six's original solitary-confinement lockout door hangs right next to the back-lit bar while you sip a craft cocktail. The cinder-block walls and barred doors were left intact on purpose, so the speakeasy vibe isn't manufactured atmosphere — it's the actual bones of the place. Exposed brick, plush chairs, and aperitifs sit inside a room where someone once sobered up in a holding cell.
The move: Order something stiff at the bar, then talk your server into letting you peer into Cell Six for a look at that solitary-confinement door before you finish your drink.
📍 Before you go Located inside Station on the Riverwalk boutique hotel in downtown Pueblo — street parking and the Riverwalk pedestrian path both put you right at the door.
