Entry No. 5 — the Salt Lake City file — filed under: car museum
Land Cruiser Heritage Museum
A working museum devoted to exactly one vehicle lineage: Toyota Land Cruisers from 1953 to present, tucked under the 600 North viaduct in an industrial pocket ten minutes from the airport. The collection runs from a 1979 FJ56 fire truck to a hand-built FJ62/HZJ79 hybrid, and the museum runs an 'Adopt-A-Cruiser' program so specific trucks get sponsored upkeep rather than just sitting as static display pieces.
The move: Book the $20 general admission (Mon–Sat, 8am–5pm), trace one model generation from restoration bay to showroom floor, and pick which Cruiser you'd 'adopt' before grabbing lunch nearby.
