A working hot-glass studio a few blocks off Stearns Wharf where master glassblowers with as much as 65 years at the pipe hand you the blowpipe yourself over a 2,000-plus-degree furnace, and you walk out with an ornament, flower, or pumpkin you actually shaped in molten glass.

The move: Book the Couple's Class: side by side at neighboring benches, you each gather glowing glass from the furnace, shape it together with jacks and wet newspaper, then compare the two lopsided, gorgeous, entirely unrepeatable pieces you take home.
