Entry No. 17 — the Savannah file — filed under: haunted inn
17Hundred90 Inn & Restaurant
Savannah's oldest inn is actually three separate buildings fused together, one of them a survivor of the city's devastating 1820 fire. Room 204 belongs to Anna, said to have jumped — or been pushed — from its third-floor window after her sailor fiancé went AWOL; downstairs, a boy ghost named Thaddeus leaves guests shiny pennies on the tables.
The move: Dinner in the tavern followed by a nightcap, keeping half an eye on the bar top and tables for pennies that weren't there a minute before.
