May-Stringer House (Hernando Historical Museum)

Perched on a hill 45 miles north of Tampa, this 1855 four-story Victorian 'Painted Lady' contains over 11,000 artifacts across 14 period-restored rooms, including an authentic 1880s doctor's office. It is widely cited as Florida's most haunted home, with accounts centered on 'Mae,' a three-year-old child who died here in 1897, whose disembodied crying and phantom hand touches in the attic are regularly reported.
