NRA National Firearms Museum

2,500 guns spanning seven centuries fill the NRA's headquarters building, including firearms owned by Theodore Roosevelt, JFK, and Reagan, Napoleon Bonaparte's flintlock fowling piece, Annie Oakley's exhibition guns, and a full-scale WWI trench diorama built to walk visitors straight through it.

The move: Wander the free galleries at your own pace — start at the life-size 19th-century gunsmith's workshop diorama, end at the WWI trench, and argue over which president's or outlaw's gun was the strangest to see up close.
