Obsession Records
Family-owned by Steve and Verna Haynes, this is the only shop in Anchorage dedicated solely to vinyl, stocking new and used LPs heavy on rock, punk, folk, jazz, blues, country, soul and funk. It went online in 2011 before opening its brick-and-mortar in 2014.
The move: Split up to crate-dig the punk, soul and jazz bins, then pick one record for each other sight-unseen as a cheap mystery gift and play them later.
