The Stein Luminary

An all-digital, room-scale museum at Boise State built entirely around projection and touch. Ninety feet of touchscreens let you pull up high-resolution artwork and landscapes from around the world, while floor-to-ceiling immersive media wraps you in shifting arts, cultures, and science experiences. It runs limited weekday afternoon hours (Tuesday-Friday, noon-3pm) during the academic year and closes for the summer, though you can email to arrange a tour.

The move: Book a quiet weekday slot and take turns steering the wall-sized touchscreens to surprise each other with far-flung art.

Where: Center for the Visual Arts atrium, 1110 S. Capitol Blvd., Boise, ID

Hours: Added 2026-06-24 — confirm current hours before you go.
