Entry No. 52 — the Boise file — filed under: arcade-play
Treasure Valley Skate
Boise's only roller rink, run by owners Scott and Tammy Stevens inside a 20,000-square-foot building that used to be 20th Century Lanes bowling alley, so the bones of the place lean delightfully retro. Beyond the skate sessions there are arcade games, air hockey, foosball, and a snack bar slinging homemade pizza, plus rentals if you don't own quads. The vibe is unpretentious and a little rough around the edges, which is exactly the appeal for a throwback skate night.
The move: Lace up rental quads for a hand-in-hand lap session, then cool off over homemade pizza and a round of air hockey.
