Silver Bow Twin Drive-In

A twin-screen drive-in that has run since 1977, its concession stand and projection booth salvaged from an older drive-in near Deer Lodge and trucked here after that one closed. Sound comes through your car's FM radio, or you can rent a retrofitted post-style speaker for $5 as a nod to the original hang-on-the-window units. Because Montana summer dusk lingers, double features usually don't start rolling until around 9:30 PM. Cash only at the gate.

The move: Pack blankets and snacks, tune the radio to 99.7, and watch a summer double feature from the bed of a truck under a sky that doesn't go dark until nearly 10.
