Petunia & Loomis

Spokane's dedicated oddities shop, billing itself as the city's only year-round "Creeptown." The inventory runs to taxidermy, entomology, and wet specimens (animals that died of natural causes, preserved in alcohol in glass jars) alongside antiques and macabre curios. Now at 224 N Howard St near Riverfront Park, it's the closest true full-on oddities boutique to Coeur d'Alene, just over the state line.

The move: Cross into downtown Spokane to browse the jarred wet specimens and taxidermy, pick out a creepy keepsake together, then wander to Riverfront Park afterward.
