Dallas Movement Collective — Sunday Ecstatic Dance at Owenwood Farm
A barefoot, sober, consent-based free-form dance held in a converted neighborhood farm-and-church space, with no choreography and no steps to follow. The Sunday session opens with a live-DJ warm-up and intention circle, builds into an ecstatic dance journey, then lands everyone on the floor for a closing sound bath.
The move: Go on a Sunday afternoon: move through the no-talking dance journey side by side, then lie down together for the closing sound bath and the conscious-connection circle afterward.
📍 Before you go The session lives at Owenwood Farm & Neighbor Space, a former neighborhood church on John West Road that's been converted into a community campus with an on-site garden, tucked into the residential Casa View pocket of Far East Dallas. There's no marquee out front, so watch for the address rather than a sign, and park on the street courteously since this is a quiet neighborhood with homes close by. It's a recurring Sunday-afternoon practice with limited floor space, so reserve your spot ahead and arrive a little early to settle in barefoot. White Rock Lake and East Dallas's taquerias are a short drive west for after.
