Built into the bones of the former Cherry Creek post office in the basement of the Halcyon Hotel, B&GC takes the hidden-bar bit further than anyone in Denver. You text 720-925-8598 with your date, time and party size, and they reply with directions to a creepy alley and a door marked 'Stair 3' with a gold triangle. Ring the antique golden doorbell and someone appears to walk you down through hallways into a 44-seat room of deco lighting and cognac-leather bucket chairs serving post-WWII cocktail culture. It's the hardest bar to find in the city, on purpose.

📍 Before you go The alley sits in Cherry Creek North, off the block between 2nd and 3rd Avenue behind the Halcyon — pull up the hotel on a map and walk in from there rather than hunting for a B&GC sign, because there isn't one. Park once: Cherry Creek North has public garages and metered street spots, and the whole district is walkable. This is a sit-down evening lounge, not a drop-in, so treat the reservation as mandatory — without one, a seat isn't guaranteed. Hours skew later and shift seasonally, so confirm ahead. Pair it with dinner or a stroll through Cherry Creek's shops first, and keep the alley quiet on arrival.
