Dikeou Collection (Pop-Up: Colfax)
Two Denver siblings, Devon and Pany Dikeou, have quietly built a 45-artist international contemporary collection since 1998 — the kind of thing you'd expect in Chelsea, parked in plain sight off Colfax. The main collection upstairs at 1615 California is closing end of January 2026 and migrating to a new Court Place home (date TBA), but the Dikeou Pop-Up: Colfax in the old Jerry's Record Exchange storefront is still open, by appointment and free, and a slice of the collection is also installed inside Hudson's Bay at 1600 Stout. You email or call, they let you in, and there's basically no one else there. Almost no one walking Colfax knows it's art, not a vacant shopfront.
The move: Email ahead for a weekday-afternoon appointment at the Colfax pop-up, wander the installs with zero crowd, then walk a few blocks to the Hudson's Bay install and argue about which piece you'd steal.
