That Witch Apothecary

That Witch is a queer- and trans-owned ritual-goods brand by founder Rory, a practicing witch of 10+ years, and rather than hiding inside someone else's shop it actually co-founded Chroma Denver — the Broadway artisan co-op it now anchors alongside 20-plus other local makers. Everything is small-batch, ethically sourced, and vegan: soy-wax candles, bath brews and salt soaks, body butter, lip balm. Bestsellers are the Full Moon (sea salt, plum, eucalyptus) and Deep Forest (sage and oak moss) scents. Going to Chroma is the move — you get That Witch plus a roomful of other Denver artisans under one roof.

The move: Treat Chroma as a tiny treasure hunt for two: split up, each find one small That Witch candle or bath brew for the other, then meet back and swap.

📍 Before you go That Witch isn't a standalone shop — it's a vendor inside Chroma Denver at 472 N Broadway, on the Speer/Baker edge of the Broadway corridor just south of downtown. Look for Chroma's storefront, then find the That Witch section among the makers within; there's no separate entrance to hunt for. Street parking runs along Broadway and the side streets, easiest on a weekend afternoon when the strip is liveliest and you can wander into nearby cafes, bars, and eateries afterward. Hours shift seasonally, so check ahead, and bring a little patience for a small, browse-heavy space.

Where: 472 N Broadway, Denver, CO 80203 (a vendor inside / co-founder of the Chroma Denver artisan co-op)

Hours: Inside Chroma Denver, open Tue-Sun 11am-6pm; confirm current hours before visiting.
