Entry No. 4 — the Detroit file — filed under: haunted
The Whitney
This opulent 1894 Romanesque Revival mansion, built by lumber baron David Whitney Jr., is now an upscale restaurant famously haunted by its original owners and former tuberculosis patients.
The move: Sip a 'Witch's Brew' cocktail at the third-floor Ghostbar, then take the mansion's original, self-operating elevator to spot the ghostly figure of an old man looking out the second-floor window.
