A pottery studio and gallery tucked above Main Avenue in the heart of downtown Durango. The wheel-throwing classes run several times a week, afternoons and evenings, and walk you through throwing, glazing, and firing your own pieces. It is a real working studio with limited spots per session, so a couple ends up with hands-on instruction rather than a crowded paint-bar vibe.

The move: Sit side by side at the wheels and learn to throw and glaze your own mugs or bowls under a working potter's guidance.
