Mishawaka Amphitheatre

Since 1916, this 1,000-capacity amphitheatre has been wedged into Poudre Canyon 14 miles from the nearest cell tower, its restaurant deck literally cantilevered over rushing whitewater. National touring acts — jam bands, indie headliners, the occasional legend — play here all summer to crowds a tenth the size you'd find at a proper festival. Dinner arrives while a river rapid roars two feet below your chair. The drive up Highway 14 is the last thing your phone will see until you're back in the valley.

The move: Drive up Poudre Canyon for an evening show: eat on the deck with the river beneath you, watch the headliner under the canyon walls, and surrender your phone for the night.

📍 Before you go Amphitheatre season runs May through September; restaurant open year-round. Located on Colorado Highway 14 (Poudre Canyon Road) — a winding two-lane canyon road, plan for 30–40 minutes from Fort Collins. No cell service in the canyon. Parking is on-site along the canyon road; arrive early for shows as pullouts fill up.
