Marysville House (in Marysville ghost town)

A rustic steakhouse and bar housed in a relocated 1800s "Silver City" Great Northern railroad station, trucked to its present spot in 1975 and parked in the near-ghost town of Marysville (population under 100). Once the gold-mining center of Montana, home to the rich Drumlummon Mine, the town is now a scatter of historic buildings you drive through to reach dinner, with the old freight and baggage room serving as the dining room. As the owners themselves say, late at night when it's quiet you might still hear the old ghost train whistle.

The move: Drive up to the all-but-abandoned mining town at dusk, wander the old buildings, then eat a hand-cut ribeye in a converted 19th-century railroad station.
