Bronson Caves (the Batcave)
A short man-made tunnel carved into the rock wall of an abandoned early-1900s quarry, the Bronson Caves have played alien lairs, monster dens, and most famously the entrance to the Batcave in the 1960s Batman TV series. An easy fire-road walk leads to the cave's open mouths; climb the small trail just beyond and the Hollywood Sign appears in the distance. It remains one of the most-filmed spots in LA.
The move: Walk the short trail to the caves and stand inside the tunnel to frame a photo of the Hollywood Sign through the rock opening.
