Tucked beside the easygoing Fairfax bar Blue Collar, Cold Shoulder hides behind a secret bookcase that swings open between the two spaces. You need an actual password to get in, pieced together from clues on their Instagram or coaxed out of the host. Once inside it is a small, intimate cocktail den, decked out in upside-down decor, that rewards people willing to do the detective work.

The move: Hunt down the rotating password from their Instagram, find the bookcase next to Blue Collar, and slip through into the hidden cocktail room.
