The Clay Studio of Missoula
A nonprofit ceramics studio in the Northside neighborhood where you can sit down at an electric wheel and pull your first wobbly bowl out of a spinning lump of clay. Beyond full multi-week courses, they run short 'try-me' one-session classes built for absolute beginners who just want to get their hands muddy. Instructors walk you through centering, throwing, and the slow magic of watching clay take shape under your palms.
The move: Book a one-session beginner wheel class and race each other to see who can throw the least-lopsided mug.
📍 Before you go Try-me/one-session classes are scheduled intermittently; multi-week sessions fill fast. Check the adult clay education page for current dates.
