Entry No. 41 — the Missoula file — filed under: records
Montana Antique Mall
Spread across four floors and 15,000-plus square feet of the 1890 Montana Hotel, claimed to be the oldest building in downtown Missoula, this multi-vendor mall is a deep rabbit hole of vintage curiosities. Sixty-some dealers stock everything from Victorian ephemera and oddball advertising signage to collectible beer cans and forgotten household contraptions. A basement staircase once served as a secret passage to a Prohibition-era room where alcohol was sold.
The move: Give yourselves a scavenger challenge: each person has twenty minutes and twenty dollars to find the strangest object on a different floor, then meet in the basement to reveal your finds.
