Manhattan Kayak Neon Night Paddle

From a boathouse pier that juts nearly a quarter-mile into the Hudson opposite the Intrepid, this 30-year-old outfit runs guided night paddles in glow-lit kayaks. You launch into the river after dark and trace the water with the West Side skyline reflecting around you. Trips run seasonally and are guided, so even first-timers can join the after-dark version of the Hudson skyline tour.

The move: Suit up at the Pier 84 boathouse and paddle a glowing kayak out onto the dark Hudson with the lit skyline mirrored on the water.
