The Big Duck
This 20-foot ferrocement building shaped like a giant white Pekin duck was built in 1931 by a duck farmer to sell ducks and eggs, with glowing Model-T taillights for eyes. It became so iconic that architects coined the term 'duck' for any building shaped like what it sells, and it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today it's a tiny free gift shop and museum of duck artifacts run by Suffolk County Parks.
The move: Drive out east on Long Island to pose with the giant duck, then poke around the little gift shop inside its belly for duck souvenirs.
