Entry No. 2 — the Oklahoma City file — filed under: speakeasy

Lunar Lounge

A celestial-themed cocktail hideaway tucked inside an unassuming office building in Midtown Plaza Court, from the team behind Barkeep. There's no obvious door, just a moon-shaped button or knob on the hallway wall that you press to slip inside a dark, disco-ball-and-laser den.

The move: Wander the wood-paneled Plaza Court hallway pretending you're lost, then make your partner be the one to find and press the secret moon button before you disappear into the spacey lounge for cocktails.

📍 Before you go It sits inside the Plaza Court building at 1100 Classen Drive, a restored 1920s structure on the National Register of Historic Places, so head for the wood-lined interior hallway rather than any street-facing storefront. Spotting the small Lunar Lounge sign first makes the unmarked moon button much easier to find. This is an evenings-only spot, best treated as a night-out destination; weekend nights draw the biggest crowd, and it can fill up, so consider arriving early or checking ahead about reservations. The same building holds McNellie's Irish Pub, and Fassler Hall plus walkable Midtown bars sit just outside for an easy before-or-after pairing.

Where: 1114 Classen Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73103 (inside Midtown Plaza Court)

Hours: Reported Tue-Sat eve until late, Sun until midnight; verify before going
