Yukon Czech Hall

A living Czech immigrant lodge built in 1899 and rebuilt in 1925, Yukon Czech Hall has hosted public polka dances every single Saturday night since the 1920s — one of the longest unbroken weekly community dances in the country. The Masopust Polka Band and the Bohemian Knights take turns filling the floor with kolache-fueled couples doing waltzes, polkas, and group folk dances until 10:30pm.

The move: Show up Saturday evening (7–10:30pm, $8–10 cover), grab kolaches from the snack counter, and let the live polka band sweep you onto the hardwood floor — no dance experience needed, since regulars of all ages will cheerfully drag you into the group folk dances.
