Ernie Adams, the self-described 'Father of the Dwarf Car,' hand-builds fully operational 5/8-scale classic-car replicas — each one takes years — and displays his fleet of tiny, drivable hot rods and cruisers in a small roadside museum south of Phoenix that's caught the eye of Jay Leno.

The move: Take the I-10 exit to Maricopa, get the in-person walkthrough from Ernie himself if he's around, and pick a favorite dwarf car to 'test drive' with a photo before heading back north.
