Lake Pueblo State Park Stargazing Night
On scheduled stargazing nights, Lake Pueblo State Park pairs with the Southern Colorado Astronomical Society for a short indoor presentation at the Visitor Center auditorium followed by an open-air viewing session with telescopes set up outside. Telescopes are provided, but you can haul your own. With 60 miles of shoreline and big open water west of the city, the sky opens up considerably once you are away from town lights.
The move: Catch the astronomy talk in the Visitor Center, then step outside to the reservoir's dark edge and share the provided telescopes while the lake reflects the night sky.
📍 Before you go Requires a valid Colorado State Parks pass for vehicle entry. Stargazing nights are scheduled (not nightly) and weather-dependent; check the park calendar for the next date.
