The exterior still reads 'Ewe & Eye' — the yarn-and-toy shop that occupied this spot for nearly 30 years — but push inside and it's Boerne's speakeasy-styled nightlife bar, complete with a private champagne room, a stained-glass peacock, and porch swings over Cibolo Creek.

The move: Find the old toy-shop signage (that's the whole point), settle in for Hat's Off happy hour, then take the porch swings over Cibolo Creek at sunset before Thursday karaoke or weekend live music kicks in.
