From the sidewalk it reads as just another Pacific Beach storefront; step through the unassuming door and you're inside a moody 17th-century ship captain's cabin, opened in 2022 as the maritime sister bar to nearby tiki spot The Grass Skirt.

The move: Book a table for the gin-forward cocktail list, then linger past 10pm on a Thursday-Sunday for $10 chambongs and the salvaged-fixture, portrait-lined back room.
